Planning to fish during your trip? Missouri has license requirements based on residency and age. Out-of-state guests age 16+ need a Missouri fishing license to fish in lakes and streams. If you’re a Missouri resident, a license is required for ages 16–64. You can purchase locally, or use the online option provided on the page.
Also, be sure you’re ready for Missouri boating rules. Anyone born after January 1, 1984 needs a Boating Operator Safety Card to legally operate a motorized watercraft (including boats and wave runners) on Missouri lakes. If you already have a similar card from your home state, bring it with you. These cards are not available locally, so plan ahead and use the online option listed on the page if needed.
